What do we do in Preschool?

Our proposal seeks to welcome the youngest children by integrating them into our educational community, developing their sense of belonging to the School and considering their needs and the characteristics of their age.

Through play as a central activity in the life of children of this age and as a driving force for the acquisition of all learning, we seek to awaken in our students their curiosity, their creativity and their desire to learn.

Fundamental to our approach is the creation of caring environments that stimulate development and where affection and bonds have a central place. In a specially prepared space that allows for observation, manipulation and experimentation, we invite children to discover the world around them in interaction with their peers and adult role models. Our teaching and technical team, specialized in caring for children in Early Childhood Education, guarantees a climate of affection and love that enables the development of all their capacities.

What are we looking for?

We seek to help our students discover and develop their abilities and skills in different areas: pastoral and catechetical, personal-social, motor, communicative, adaptive and cognitive, within the framework of a bilingual approach. Proposals that stimulate motor and language development occupy a very important place in the day, as do all those activities that promote relationships with others, with the school being their first major social environment after their family.

They are encouraged to expand their social ties, gradually learning to enjoy putting their gifts and talents at the service of others. At this stage, stimulating the development of self-confidence and autonomy is also central, so the incorporation of habits and routines is encouraged through the different activities of the day, respecting the rhythms and times of each student.

We are also entering into the experience of faith with the help of our friend Jesus. We marvel at the gifts that our Father God gives us and how much He loves us.

Bilingualism in Early Childhood Education

English in Early Childhood facilitates the rapid development of reading in the foreign language in children of this age.

Mainly through the study of English phonemes, rhymes and songs, it allows children to quickly advance in their discovery of words and short texts.

In order to create opportunities in which this language is a tool that helps them discover other content in addition to the study of the language itself, subjects in English have been incorporated so that students can work integrating different linguistic skills and content in this language.

Where do we focus?

We aim to ensure that the journey children take in the Initial stage strengthens their autonomy and allows them to enjoy their achievements throughout the stage.

Pastoral and catechetical

In it, they are introduced to content related to faith, to the person of Jesus, and their experience of that faith is encouraged, which is expressed in gestures and attitudes. The values of solidarity, respect for others and prayer are worked on.

Personal and Social

The process of self-knowledge, integration into a group and relationships with others is accompanied.

Motor

The aim is to enable a greater and gradual mastery of the body and the instruments used in graphic productions (paper, brushes, markers and pencils).

Communicative (Spanish and English)

Oral language is encouraged through a variety of media, and written language is explored within a framework of exploration. Other expressive languages such as plastic and musical are also addressed.

Cognitive

The development of thinking skills and the ability to make use of the understandings developed about the objects of knowledge is encouraged.

Pedagogical Proposal

Our Pre-Kinder proposal for 2 and 3 year-olds seeks to welcome the youngest children by integrating them into our educational community, developing their sense of belonging to the School and considering their needs and the characteristics of their age.

We aim for our students to discover and develop their abilities and skills in different areas: pastoral and catechetical, personal-social, motor, communicative, adaptive and cognitive, within the framework of a bilingual approach. Proposals that stimulate motor and language development occupy a very important place in the day, as well as all those activities that promote relationships with others, with the school being their first great social environment after their family. They are encouraged to expand their social ties, gradually learning to enjoy putting their gifts and talents at the service of others. We are also beginning to get to know Jesus and discover God's gifts in our lives.
