In it International Year of Pulses, we share this delicious recipe
Special brownie
Ingredients:
- 1 and 1/2 cups cooked black beans. Leave them soaking the day before and cook them the next day. Then strain them and let them dry.
- 5 Eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract. You can also use mint extract, and make a kind of mint chocolate cake.
- 6 tablespoons of butter
- 1 and ½ sugar
- 6 tablespoons of bitter cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 tablespoon of water
Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 160°C
- Take a 23 cm diameter mould. Grease it and lightly sprinkle chocolate powder on the bottom and edges, making sure it is even but in a very light layer.
- Take the black beans, already drained and dried, and put them in a blender with 3 eggs, the vanilla, and part of the sugar. Blend with the blender until there are no lumps of beans left and everything is mixed.
- In a bowl, mix the cocoa powder, baking powder and baking soda until everything is homogeneous.
- In another bowl, beat the butter with the rest of the sugar. The idea is that the butter and sugar become creamy. To this mixture, add the two remaining eggs one by one and continue beating.
- To the bowl with the butter cream, add the mixture with black beans that we had in the blender and then the powder mixture (cocoa, baking powder and bicarbonate) and water. Beat until smooth.
- Pour the entire mixture into the prepared mold and spread it evenly without leaving any air bubbles.
- Bake in the oven for 40-45 minutes.
- Remove from oven and allow to cool (approximately 10 minutes)
