Mathematics is present in the most varied areas of daily life, and in these same environments it provides the opportunity to reflect and learn. But it also plays a leading role in the academic life of any professional orientation, adopting particular characteristics according to the area of development; promoting Mathematics of an academic nature and of professional application is also one of the priority institutional tasks, in order to fulfil the educational commitment of the School.

The Mathematics Department is focusing its academic production and development on the lines of taking advantage of information and communication technologies. This set of teaching resources configures the classroom space as a new environment, where mathematical knowledge maintains its validity but adopts new forms of expression.

We thus seek to take advantage of the varied stimuli that allow us to discover Mathematics on a daily basis as a support point to later access more complex and challenging forms of thinking.
