The Society of Jesus was founded in 1540 by St. Ignatius of Loyola and his companions. The Jesuit mission is a mission of reconciliation, working to enable women and men to be reconciled with God, with themselves, with each other, and with God's creation.
Our institution belongs to the Society of Jesus, forming part of a worldwide network of 845 schools.
Saint Ignatius of Loyola
Founder of the Society of Jesus in 1540 and creator of the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises, Saint Ignatius of Loyola soon understood that schools offered the greatest possible service to the Church through moral and religious instruction, making the life of devotion accessible to young people, and teaching the evangelical message of service to others.

The Society of Jesus has its governing headquarters in Rome, guided by the Father Superior General.
There are many Jesuit works in the world, and they are of a diverse nature. In order to organize itself, the Company is divided into Provinces. The College is part of the Argentine-Uruguayan Province, created in 2010.
